She received her International Award in 2001 and officiated at the NZU21 International Series, the Commonwealth Cup between NZ and Australia and the International Tri Series between NZ, Australia and South Africa during that year.

In 2003 she was selected to go to the World Championships, and in 2004 she did the England v Australia Test series.

Justine retired from umpiring in 2005 and in 2008/9 returned in the coaching role as a member of the Netball North Regional NZ Panel. This was followed by her appointment to the NZ Umpire Panel in 2010.
