NZ-born and -based Pacific Island players are reminded about the IFNA eligibility rules, particularly with the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore.  All potential trialists for any of the Oceania Teams are advised to become familiar with the IFNA rules around eligibility and the implications that playing for an Oceania Team may have on their future eiligibility for a New Zealand ANZ Championship franchise team, NZ Squad or NZ team.

Please pay special attention to the IFNA eligibility rules around Commonwealth Games representation, as these differ from the rules applying to World Championships and World Youth Championships. The impact of playing for a country other than NZ at a Commonwealth Games is potentially more severe, as there is no stand down period as such. A player in this position may therefore never be eligible for New Zealand  or a New Zealand Franchise Team.
