The world’s best netballers will descend on New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty in six weeks, when Tauranga hosts the official pre-season tournament for the 2012 ANZ Championship.

Netball Southland and the Southern Steel franchise have a new chief executive following a search which spanned both sides of the Tasman.

The Board of TTNL Ltd announced today they have appointed experienced sports executive Andrew Crook to the role of General Manager of the ANZ Championship.  Crook will take up the role on 7 February 2012 and be based at the ANZ Championship offices in Melbourne and Auckland.

After completion of the six Regional NZTD weekends, the following 12 umpires have been short listed for the NZTD Under 19 Umpire Squad. The final squad of eight will be announced by the end of February and they will attend the NZSS camp in Auckland next April.
