The inaugural World Netball Series was held at the M.E.N. Arena, Manchester, England
from Fri 9 to Sun 11 October 2009 (ie Sat 10-Mon 12 October NZ time).
After finishing third in Pool Play the Silver Ferns defeated Australia in their Semi-Final, and then delivered a powerful performance in the Final to beat Jamaica and win the inaugural title.
