| Since the admission of girls to Saint Kentigern College seven years ago, netball participation has grown from a couple of teams to 23 in 2009. Netball is now the College's most popular girls' sport, with a participation rate second only to football. In 2008 the Premier team was third in the Auckland Netball Premier competition, and fifth at the Upper North Island Secondary Schools tournament. Two players also trialled that season for the NZSS team; and in 2009 Kirsten Hurley achieved NZSS team selection. |
