Anna Harrison (nee Scarlett)

Defender Anna Harrison (nee Scarlett) returned to the netball court in 2014 after taking year out for the birth of her first child. Raised in the small settlement of Karamea on the South Island’s west coast, Harrison first made the Silver Ferns back in 2002, travelling to the Commonwealth Games with the team as a training player.She made her debut for the Silver Ferns in 2002, went on to earn 39 test caps and was part of the team which won the 2003 World Championships and 2006 Commonwealth Games gold medal.

After a several seasons on the international beach volleyball circuit, Harrison decided to return to playing netball in 2010 where she won another Commonwealth Games gold medal.

The 31 year old is playing for the Northern Mystics in the 2014 ANZ Championship season and is a versatile defender, playing in the goal keeper, goal defence and wing defence positions.
