Bailey Mes
Dubbed the “bolter” in the Silver Ferns side, Bailey Mes has had a meteoric rise to international netball status.
The 23-year-old bachelor of health science student, who played her school netball for Onehunga High, was selected for the Ferns for the first time after impressing selectors at national trials in August, 2012.
The midcourter captured the selectors’ attention with her outstanding aerobic testing . A member of the Northern Mystics squad since 2010, Bailey also has the skills to play in the shooting circle.
With a 60cm standing jump, and her 1.86m height, she promises to be a dynamic addition to the Ferns’ midcourt.
