Julianna Naoupu

After relocating from the deep south, promising shooter Julianna Naoupu made the most of her extended opportunities at Waikato/Bay of Plenty Magic this year to showcase her obvious talent.

A member of the Southern Steel since the inception of the ANZ Championship in 2008, Naoupu had always impressed as an impact player but thrived on the bigger workload offered at the Magic.

A NZU21 player since 2006, Naoupu has won a strong following with her adept positional play, quick footwork and ability to shoot from all points of the circle. A naturally creative player, Naoupu has exceptional ball skills, slick timing and ability to find space.

The opportunity provided by her inclusion in the Silver Ferns squad can only help grow her game.
