Do they Understand?
This workshop for Umpire Coaches and Panel members will focus on coaching techniques, identifying coaching points and ensuring the message given to umpires is received correctly.
It is a mixture of theory and practical.
Target Group:
ALL panel members from the region should attend. Panel members may attend in any region.
In 2013 people wishing to be appointed to panels will have to have completed update courses such as this in the previous two years. (More detail on this available soon)
Facilitator/Trainers:
Sheena Tyrrell and Raewyn Rolandson, NZUP, will be the lead trainers and at times may be assisted by other NZUP members.
COST:

The Game -Understanding Where it is Going"
This is a practical workshop aimed at assisting umpires and panels to understand player skills and tactics and as a consequence the umpiring techniques required to enhance the game.
It will also cover recommendations of appropriate strategies for the application of the Rule Changes which are applicable from 1 January 2012.
DURATION:
3 hours
TARGET GROUP:
It is recommended for umpires with Centre Award and above, all panel members
COST:
Participants $10 each
FACILITATOR:
Colleen Bond is the lead facilitator but others may be used e.g. NZUP, Squad Coaches, ANZ Panel, IUA's. A local coach may also be invited to assist.
